Crested Micro Pteropus - Small
Description
Crested Micro Pteropus, native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, is known for its distinctive leaf tips that split into tendrils, resembling tiny fingers. This unique structure not only gives the plant a visually intricate and striking appearance but also aids in capturing moisture from the humid environment, helping it stay hydrated during dry spells. Its vibrant green leaves, occasionally flecked with shimmering gold, contribute to its ethereal charm.
Growing up to 20 cm (8 inches) tall, it is well-suited for midground placement in aquariums. Crested Micro Pteropus thrives in shaded forest conditions with filtered sunlight and prefers temperatures between 20°C and 28°C (68°F to 82°F), along with a pH range of 5.5 to 7.0. Its roots anchor deeply into nutrient-rich, loamy substrates, offering both stability and nourishment—making it an excellent choice for aquascaping.
