Anubias - Assorted thrive in rivers and streams across Africa but are also found in marshy environments. These plants are known for their wide, thick, dark green leaves, which vary in shape. Popular varieties like A. Barteri are commonly used in aquariums, where they are typically anchored to rocks or driftwood. They come in a pot to enhance their display.
For optimal growth, Anubias plants prefer a temperature range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5. Unlike many aquatic plants, Anubias thrive in low light conditions and can even bloom underwater. In aquariums, placing them in shaded areas helps prevent algae from growing on their leaves, making them an excellent choice for adding durable greenery to your setup.
