Description

This assorted sword is from the Echinodorus species, the leaves exhibit a mix of vibrant colours.  The upper surfaces are green with a hint of red speckles, while the undersides display a rich, reddish-brown hue, giving the plant a striking contrast. It has pinnate venation, where veins branch out from a central midrib along the length of the leaf. The leaves are lanceolate, tapering at both ends. They are relatively long, with smooth texture and slightly wavy edges. It comes in a stunning 5 cm pot.  

Assorted sword plants are native to South America and contribute to a calm and balanced atmosphere in aquariums. They usually grow to a height of 10 – 30cm (4-12 inches) making them ideal as a centrepiece or background plants in larger tanks. They thrive in temperatures ranging from 72°F to 82°F (22°C to 28°C) and require a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5. These plants exemplify the intricate and harmonious relationships that can develop in a well-maintained aquatic environment.
